Our Second Walk in Doral: Connection, Community, and Confidence for Women Over 40

Our second Babes Over 40 walk, held in beautiful Doral, Florida, was another heart-filling reminder of why this community matters so much. A wonderful group of women came together — some who had joined us before, and others who were meeting for the very first time. Yet from the moment we started our three-mile power walk, it felt like we were already old friends.

We walked, talked, laughed, vented, shared our stories, and opened up about the real things we’re navigating as women over 40. There’s something powerful about moving your body while connecting with other women who simply get it. By the time we finished, the conversations were flowing so naturally that heading to brunch together in Doral was the perfect way to continue the morning.

What touched me most was watching strangers become friends within hours — women who didn’t know each other at all coming together, relating, supporting, and uplifting each other. The energy was warm, authentic, and healing.

I’m incredibly proud and grateful that this was our second official walk. My passion and career as an interior designer will always be my foundation, but creating this community for women over 40 has become a project of purpose — a space to belong, to be seen, and to not feel alone during the big emotional, physical, and life changes that come with this stage of life.

Thank you to every woman who showed up with an open heart. We are building something beautiful together — one walk, one conversation, and one connection at a time.
